THE WALL - TV GAME SHOW RESEARCH
- The presenter is Christophe Dechavanne. He is wearing a dark blue suit with glasses, connoting that he is intellectual and serious.
- The title introduces the Game Show and it has a sans-serif bold font. The colour scheme is blue and white and it matches with the actual wall. The title is mentioned in French underneath because the TV game show is occurring in France
- The TV show would rather appeal an adult audience above the age of 25 because the questions are quite complex and it's a serious game
- There's 400,000 € possible on one single drop and over a million euros by the end of the game. Wildly unpredictable, the wall is possible of million different outcomes
- The music is adds to the suspense and its a dramatic track
- The wall turns green when their answers are correct and it turns red when they are incorrect
- There's two contestants and there's no teams
- Multiple choice quiz
- They only have as much time as it takes for the balls to fall to the bottom
- The prize is money & it can reach up to 1 million which can change the people's lives in an instant- No sexually appealing assistants because the TV Game is quite serious
- A dramatic music when they loose money and the music is positive when they gain money
- Tremendous cash prizes are waiting at the bottom of the 12 metre wall
- Money drop was replaced by 'The Wall, Face au mur'
- At the start the candidate duo need to answer to general knowledge questions. If the answer is correct the green ball will fall from a 12 metre wall into 15 squares in which there is between 1- 150 000€ is marked. The amount is then added to the candidate's jackpot. If the answer is wrong, the amount is deduced.
- Later on, the two participants are separated so one enters an isolated room where he/she needs to answer trivia questions individually and the other participant faces the wall and watches the balls drop in stress
- The one answering the questions in the isolated room doesn't know if they answered correctly and he/she doesn't know how much money the wall gave them or removed from the jackpot
- The participant first sees the 4 options of answers without knowing the question. He then has the choice to place the ball between numbers 1-7. If he feels confident about the context of the question, he places the ball near number 7 and if he doesn't want to take a risk, he chooses a smaller number because its further away from the 150 000€
- In conclusion she needs to sign a contract, so she is aware that they are leaving the game with money but the minimal contract is 5,000 and for every correct answer 2,500 euros is added.
- Except if she rips the contract, they leave with the sum that the wall left them which might be over a million, 500,000, 2,000 or nothing and she doesn't know this amount and she has to take this decision by herself not knowing how much she will earn until the end of the game.
- When the balls move across the wall, the music builds up suspense and increases the tension as this game can change people's lives forever. The music makes the audience feel as if they are part of the game.- This game guarantees that there will be high stress, tears shed, and the sense that a dram has been either realised or deferred during each episode.
